The dates for the 2020 WAEC exam has been announced by the Ministry of Education.

Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba gave the information at Monday’s Presidential Task Force on #COVID19 briefing in Abuja.

According to Nwajiuba, “From the 4th of August to the 5th of September, please take note. Last week, the Chairman of the PTF announced that school facilities will be available for those who want to go into revision classes.

“The idea here is that we have a whole month from now till then, those who can and those who are willing; the states who are willing should make their schools available for the children to revise.

“We have done the most we can with our representatives at WAEC and we have this afternoon, confirmed that the dates allowed for the WAEC exams will be from the 4th of August though to the 5th of September. 
Emeka Nwajiuba added that the National Examination Council (NECO) and National Business and Technical Board (NABTEB) exams will follow on dates to be announced soon.
The Minister also advised that the Education Ministry will publish local time tables after meeting with the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and other stakeholders.
