Nollywood actress, Victoria Inyama has recounted her ordeal in her abusive and violent marriage.
She told media mogul, Chude Jideonwo during a Chudeity talk show how her ex-husband constantly assaulted her, describing a particular instance when he chased her on a staircase in their house.
The mother of three said she fell down and he caught up with her and started beating her.
She added that despite the abuses, she did not leave but was removed from the marriage.
Describing her childhood, Victoria added that “Growing up with so much love and meeting somebody who does not know how to handle love is something that cannot work out.
“My ex-husband chased me on the stair case and when he caught me, he started beating me. Despite what happened, I did not leave the marriage, but I was removed from it.”
The Nollywood diva recounted when she was overseas with her ex and he would bring his girlfriend into the house.
The lady would order her around the house and instruct her on how to prepare his meals. When she looked up to him to intervene, he’d answer: “ehen now, she’s right, just do whatever she wants you to do.”
She regretted that he would taunt her each time she made to speak he would taunt her she is the one with fame, no one knows him, she has more to lose.
Victoria also counselled women against enduring abusive marriages especially when children are involved.
