A suspect arrested in connection with the kidnapping of the wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Hakeem Odumosu, has given more details about how the crime was executed.

Speaking in a video shared by Channels TV, the suspect narrated how they abducted the victim and kept her in hiding for over a week.

According to the suspect, the group, armed with locally made guns, intercepted the victim as she returned from work. They reportedly ordered her to exit her car, a command she complied with without resistance.

After the abduction, the suspect revealed that the victim was kept in a concealed area behind her own house for a period of one week and two days. The hiding spot, which was heavily shielded by palm trees, made it almost impossible for anyone to detect their presence.

We went there armed with locally made guns and saw her returning from work. We didn’t even shoot; we just asked her to step out of her car, and she did,” the suspect recounted. “We took her to the back of her house, where she stayed for over a week. The palm trees there provided a perfect cover.”

He added that during her captivity, the group ensured the victim received food.
