The 3rd wife of the Ooni of Ife, Tobi Phillips has given an update on her new life as a queen of one of Africa’s oldest kingdoms.
A few days ago, Tobi became the 3rd crowned Olori of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.
In her first Instagram post after the marriage ceremony, Tobi turned out resplendent in a royal blue long gown with a well decorated crown.
Her post is also coming a few days after her controversial statement about married people resurfaced online and sparked mixed reactions.
Social media watchers dug up the old video of the former serial beauty queen berating married men and women whose behaviour after marriage discourage young aspiring people.
In the video, Tobi questioned why men would consider getting married if they have no plans of keeping their vows.
She noted that a man’s marriage is a piece of paper if all he does is chase everything under skirts.
Tobi also took a swipe at women who get married for because the society so demands even if they are not ready to build a home with their spouses.
According to her, many marriages are short-lived and the trend of infidelity among married men and women scares young ladies who want to settle down in marriage unions.
The video sparked mixed reactions from many Nigerians, while some claimed she had eaten her own words by marrying the Ooni who does not stick to one wife, others said she is pardonable because she might have said those words in ignorance.
in her recent post on Sunday however, Tobi Philips shared stunning photos of herself, dazzling in a blue dress on a white mosaic marble background.
She also expressed appreciation to her followers for their good wishes over her marriage to Ooni stating that change is inevitable and she is transitioning.
