Social media platform, WhatsApp will cease to function on many phone brands starting today, November 1 as the app will be blocked on their devices.

Hetty’s Media had reported earlier that the media messaging app will cease on the the phone brands.

This because the owners of the platform will no longer provide support for the operating systems running on such old model devices.

WhatsApp allows users to send text messages and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share images, documents, user locations, and other content

Phones with very old versions of IOS or Android will not be compatible with with the app, therefore it will be blocked.

However, to make the affected phones continue to enjoy the social media messaging app, the owners of the phones upgrade their device software if possible.

Sun UK disclosed in a report that the phones that will be affected by this technology upgrade include:
