The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu has given reasons on why he passed the responses to questions asked by journalists to members of his entourage including Nasir El-Rufai and others.
He made the clarification in response to questions about reasons he did not respond personally to most of the questions asked at Chatham House, London, the United Kingdom.
Tinubu was seen in videos assigning questions directed at him to Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna, the Director of Strategic Communication of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Aleke, and a former Commissioner for Finance in Lagos State, Wale Edun.
El-Rufai answered the question on how Tinubu would deal with insecurity if elected president, Aleke responded to the question on oil theft.
Edun answered the question on how the Tinubu government will boost the economy if elected president.
Explaining why he delegated questions, Tinubu said the decision was to show that he relies on team spirit in handling situations.
“Let me demonstrate here one of those philosophies and doctrines that I believe firmly in, it is a team, unbreakable team. To demonstrate that, I’ll assign it to my team,” he said.
