Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Dami Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has reacted to the controversy surrounding his abrupt exit from the stage at the 2025 Greater Lagos Countdown concert.
Burna Boy stormed out of the concert on Tuesday night after an overzealous fan jumped on the stage and attempted to grab him.
In a post via his Instagram story on Wednesday, the ‘Stand Tall’ crooner explained that he has Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and is triggered by being startled on stage, like the incident that happened during the concert.
The Afrobeat singer further urged fans to respect his boundaries while expressing gratitude for their support.
He said, “It was a free show. I was supposed to do 10mins and did almost an hour. Everybody knows my rule about getting on stage and startling me when I’m performing.
“I had an amazing time with Lagos State last night. Don’t jump on my stage like that! I got PTSD. I love you all. Happy new year.”
