Human rights activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister and former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike have spent the better part of Friday trading words about their individual careers.
Wike accused Adeyanju of being jobless, recounting how the Kogi-born activist had approached him to support his (Adeyanju) ambition to emerge as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s national publicity secretary.
He made the accusations during an interview with the Channel Television crew.
Addressing journalists in Abuja today, Adeyanju described Wike as “a bully and a coward.”
He stated: “Wike has never worked anywhere in his life. He is a serial betrayer. The only difference between Wike and Portable is that Portable does not betray people that have helped him.
“I commend Governor Fubara for dealing decisively with him. That’s how to deal with tyrants. You reduce them to nothing and show them they are nothing. Wike is nothing without politics.
“The reason why he is making so much noise and constituting a nuisance all over the place is because of our political patrimony that he loots.
“Clowns and charlatans like Nyesom Wike will open his dirty mouths and tell us that I’m claiming I am an activist.
“Wike wants everyone to leave politics for rogues like him. His idea of nation-building is where rogues like himself will be in charge at the helm of affairs. All citizens of conscience should get involved in politics.”
