“If Tuface is still married to Annie, he cannot commit adultery since proposing to Natasha in the manner he did clearly leads to the conclusion that he is in an adulterous relationship with the lawmaker.” Such is the conclusion of Emeka Ugwuonye, the lawyer currently representing May Yul-Edochie in her divorce case with estranged husband, Yul Edochie.
Speaking further, Ugwuonye said that the development also indicates that the honorable Natasha may have a hand in the break-up of the marriage to Annie, after all.
He added that “a video of Mr. Idibia (Tuface) proposing to Natasha Osawaru raises serious concerns. While TuFace is trying to avoid bigamy by commencing divorce proceedings with his current wife, Annie, a divorce decree has not been granted to him yet.
“Further, divorces are supposed to be conducted with some level of dignity and sensitivity for the feelings of the parties involved. It is traumatizing to go through divorce, especially for the party that did not initiate the divorce. To publicly advertise your new lover to the point of publicly proposing to her during the divorce is a mark of insensitivity. Indeed, it will justify Annie making Natasha a party to the divorce proceedings and forcing her to come to court and explain her relationship with TuFace.“
Describing how Natasha may have gotten herself into trouble, Emeka Ugwuonye added that, “indeed, Annie’s lawyers can cross-petition for divorce and make Natasha a party to the divorce proceedings. That will open some scrutiny into Natasha’s involvement with TuFace, raising questions such as: (1) When and how did the two meet? (2) What have they been doing together in relation to their planned marriage? (3) How did that contribute to the break-up of the marriage of TuFace and Annie? Depending on the mindset of Annie’s lawyers, TuFace has managed to throw Natasha into the legal battlefield and she could be badly bruised in the fight. I think it was a terrible mistake for TuFace and Natasha to throw away caution in the manner they seem to have done.“
