Breaking News !

Joe Okei-Odumakin, widow of late spokesperson of Pan-Yoruba Socio-Cultural group, Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin is reported to have delivered a set of twins 6 months after his death.

She delivered a boy and a girl on Wednesday at a hospital in the United States of America.

According to the 55-year-old widow, the birth of the twins fulfils her husband’s wish to have another baby to be named after him.

Yinka and Joe got married in 1997 and had their first child, a girl in 2000. The second, a boy came in 2003.

The girl was named after her mother while the boy was named after the late Afenifere leader, Pa Abraham Adesanya.

The birth of the twins comes 18 years after the couple’s last child.

Joe Odumakin noted in a statement that her husband had left instructions for the name or names of the baby

The statement read in part that, “He had however, prophetically left words concerning what the baby or babies should be called if his wishes materialised.

“YO, as he is fondly called, was so accurate in his predictions that they could be twins (and their sex) that he gave the names of the babies and told me how he would raise them.

While many may interpret this to mean that YO had a premonition about his death, it was only a strong desire expressed by him to have babies that he would dot over and who would possibly stem into his ‘aluta’ shoes. It’s a dream come true.”
