The 3rd wife of Femi-Fani Kayode, Regina-Hanson Amonoo, has defended him over allegations of wife-battering.
Regina-Hanson insists that she did not part ways with the former Aviation Minister over issues of domestic violence.
In a breaking news report by Stella Dimokokus recently, Fani-Kayode is said to have serially battered all his 3 previous and current wives causing them to abandon their marriages to him.
The last of the wives, Precious Chiwendu who has kept mum over her reasons for leaving, recently sent a vague post on her instagram account.
The post points to her going through a healing process and taking solace in God while her close friends send her encouraging messages:

“I’m proud of you, I’m proud the strength you embody, I’m proud of how you have carried yourself so far and still will. Keep on holding on, you’re not walking alone. We love you, your family and a whole host of people who we don’t even know. You’re loved, this too will pass! It will end in praise!“
Nevertheless, for what Fani Kayode considers defamation of character, he has not only dismissed Dimokokus’s reports of wife-battering, but demanded a N2 billion compensation from her. He also asked that she publishes an apology in 2 national dailies.
Regina-Hanson Amonoo said in a lengthy facebook post on Tuesday that:
“Chief Femi Fani-Kayode is my husband. We got married under traditional law and custom in Accra, Ghana in 1997 and we got married under the Marriage Act at the Apapa Registry office in Lagos, Nigeria in 2002.
“We have a beautiful daughter called Oluwaremilekun and both she and I are very proud of him.
“He has been a wonderful father and caring husband and he has never subjected me to any form of domestic abuse or treated me badly.
“Anyone who knows Femi well knows that his greed weakness are those he loves and he will do anything for them.
“He is a warm, kind, generous, gentle, intelligent and loving man who is not afraid of anything or anyone and who takes care of his own.
“From the very beginning of his relationship with Precious, he told me about it and I accepted it in good faith.“
Regina-Hanson advised the public to disregard rumours of wife-battering or domestic violence of any kind as reason for her divorce as she is not even divorced from him adding that:
“Reports in the media that we are divorced are fake and suggestions that I was treated in a bad way by him or subjected to any form of abuse at any time in the 23 years that we have been married are malicious and false. “
Femi Fani Kayode was also married to Saratu Attah for three years and Yemisi Adeniji for four years.
