The wife of the Alaafin of Oyo, Olori Badirat Ola Adeyemi has denied having any extra marital affair with fuji maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (Kwam 1)
There were intense rumours yesterday that the queen was sacked from the palace by Alaafin Oba Lamidi Adeyemi II. Reasons were that he discovered her illicit love affair.
She blamed a Nigerian blogger based in Dublin, Esther Aboderin aka Esabod for the rumours saying she knew her as a controversial person.
In her words, “if the allegation is true, may all the deities in the palace strike me down, If it is false, may all the courses be transferred to madam Esther and her child,” the Olori said.
The Alaafin of Oyo’s wife also added that Esther vowed she was sure Kwam 1 would come for her (Olori Badirat), the moment the Alaafin made him the Maiyegun of Yoruba Land.
On his part, Kwam 1 denied having any love affair with the the king’s wife. He took to his music to mock rumour mongers:
Meanwhile, one of his sons, Femi Ayinde Marshal has threatened a lawsuit against Esabod.
A philanthropist, keen on empowering the less privileged even in her young age, Olori Badirat is also the youngest wife of the popular Yoruba monarch.
She graduated from the University of Ibadan in 2019 and was personally celebrated by the Alaafin. She went on to do her NYSC immediately after.
