A mild drama played out at the Federal High Court, Abuja this morning, March 14 as a woman said to be the wife of embattled DCP Abba Kyari slumped during the bail hearing of the embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari and 6 others.
The incident which happened as the judge was rounding up with the bail hearing disrupted proceedings causing panic and disrupting activities.
She fainted soon after the trial Judge, Emeka Nwite deferred ruling on applications that Kyari and 6 others facing drug trafficking charges, filed to be released on bail pending the determination of the case against them.
The lady, who wore a black Hijab, fell on the floor while armed operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) were leading Kyari and the others away from the court premises.
She was however, quickly carried out of the court and taken into a one of the offices on the third floor of the court by some officials of the NDLEA and lawyers.
We still await update on efforts to resuscitate her. However, one other lady that accompanied her hinted that she is asthmatic, so, efforts were also on to get her an inhaler.
