A female lawyer in Calabar, Mrs Clara Bassey who died in a car crash last month while chasing her husband, Sonnie Bassey in the company of his alleged girlfriend has been buried.
Reports say she was buried this morning in the absence of her family and children before they arrived for the funeral service at Old Residency Museum, Calabar.
It would be recalled that around September this year, a middle-aged woman was reported to have given her husband and a passenger believed to his mistress a hot chase.
The Toyota Highlander, which she was driving crashed into a gutter on the Murtala Muhammed Highway in Calabar. Clara is said to have sustained life-threatening injuries from the accident.
Even if she was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, she was said to have died few a minutes later.
Confirming the incident then, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Cross River State, Maikano Hassan, said the accident that killed the middle-aged woman was caused by overspeeding.
