Wikipedia has recently updated, Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh’s Wikipedia page describing him as “highly regarded as an oppressor known for assaulting citizens and not following due process of the constitution in his lifestyle”.
This development comes after a viral video surfaced showing Ikwechegh, a lawmaker representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency, allegedly assaulting an e-hailing driver at his residence in Abuja.
According to reports, the altercation began when the driver requested Ikwechegh to come outside to receive his package, leading to a heated exchange. The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for Ikwechegh’s prosecution and condemnation of his actions.
Ikwechegh’s controversial behavior has also been highlighted in his Wikipedia biography, which now includes allegations of him boasting about his power and threatening to lock up the driver, claiming that the Inspector General of Police cannot take action against him.
