A yet to be identified woman has been arrested for kidnapping a 6-year-old boy at Okoti Okoti in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State.
She was arrested by men of the Anambra State Police Command.
The victim, Chidube Simon Udeoba, was reportedly abducted on Wednesday evening, April 19, 2023, while playing with other kids.
Anambra Broadcasting Service announced the scary incident the day it happened:
“MISSING CHILD!
“The little boy shown below is Chidube Simon Udeoba. He was reportedly kidnapped today, 19-04-2023 at Okoti while he was playing.
“Please, if you live within the area or have any information on how he will be rescued, please call his father on 08164601214 or brother 09137014294, or report to the nearest police station.
“Chidube is from Mmiata Anam, Anambra West Local Government Area, Anambra state.”
The little boy was found the new day after the broadcast state, family friends and church members sent an SOS across social media platforms.
Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), confirmed the development on Thursday night, April 20, 2023.
“Chidube Simon Udeoba Found. Chidube Simon Udeoba who reportedly went missing on Wednesday evening has been found. Recall that the unfortunate story of his kidnap filtered in yesterday after he went missing while playing with his fellow kids in Okoti. ABS can now confirm that he has been rescued from his abductor and the suspect has been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command where further investigation has since commenced.” the report reads.
