The World Trade Centre, Abuja is in fire right now. The fire started at one of the twin towers at about 11:00am this morning.
Neighbours in the adjoining buildings say that each tower has at least 30 floors.
The World Trade Centre is located in the Central Business District (CBD) of Abuja in the Federal Capital territory (FCT).
Plumes of smoke and fire are still billowing from the affected wing of the Centre. A neighbour, Uban Isang alerted the Federal Fire Service. The Fire Service, in turn, has acknowledged the distress call.
Other neighbours say fire trucks could be heard speeding to the edifice. The neighbour reports that the cause of the fire cannot be ascertained however, no injury is reported as far as he is aware.
The extent of the damage cannot yet be ascertained as at the time of this report.

The have been skeletal services in all public buildings across the Federal Capital Territory just like every other major city in the country. That development has perhaps helped to avert damage to property and possible human tragedy.
It is also expected expected that the @Fedfireng will have no problems putting out the World Trade Centre fire as there will be crowd or vehicular movement to cause obstruction.
