The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has announced a donation in support of the presidential bid of the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Both party chieftains met behind closed door in Abuja.
The agenda of the meeting was not initially revealed, but there were claims that it could be part of Tinubu’s reconciliatory moves to pacify aggrieved presidential aspirants.
Tinubu visited Yahaya Bello in company of the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Bello Matawalle (Zamfara); and Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano).
A former governor of Edo State and former national chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, was also in the entourage.
At the meeting, Bello announced a donation of an office to the presidential campaign of Bola Tinubu.
Responding to the governor’s gesture, Tinubu thanked Bello and assured him that he will work for the party and the country’s unity.
Governor Bello was one of the 22 other APC presidential aspirants beaten by Tinubu on Wednesday at the party’s primary election.
The event held at the Eagles Square, Abuja on Wednesday.
