Many fans of Davido and his girlfriend Chioma have been waiting for credible news on the status of their son, Ifeanyi who went past all 9 domestic staff and drowned in his father’s swimming pool.
At 12:55am on Tuesday, Davido gave a ray of hope that the little boy was with the doctors and he had been given assurances that he will be fine in a few hours.
Sadly, in what looks like a closure, the Lagos State police command confirmed a few minutes ago that Ifeanyi is dead.
It was gathered that the first son of the artiste died on Monday at his father’s residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.
Police Public Relations Officer, Hundeyin in the statement told Channels Television that Ifeanyi drowned on Monday.
When asked whether Ifeanyi is dead, the police spokesman said, “Yes, he is; he drowned.”
“No arrest yet but domestic staff have been brought in for questioning,” Hundeyin added.
Meanwhile, tributes have been pouring in from celebrities and fans of the singer.
