The video of an unidentified young man, who attempted to jump into the Lagos Lagoon from the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge has stirred reactions.

Patrol officers of the Lekki Concession Centre and bystanders stopped the young man, who was already on the edge of the bridge, from jumping off.

In the viral video, members of the public and the patrol officers were seen cheering the him up and encouraging him about his future as he wept uncontrollably.

He was later handed over to law enforcement officers.

Reasons for his attempted suicide was not known by the time of this report.

Nigerians on social media have, however, commended the LCC patrol officers for quickly responding to the emergency call and saving the man’s life.
